HOUSE RULES
Welcome to AlmaCalma!
We’re happy to have you as our guests and will do our best to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. AlmaCalma is a traditional Saxon house, built in 1850 and recently renovated using traditional techniques and materials. We were lucky to work with skilled craftsmen who poured their heart into its restoration. To preserve the spirit of AlmaCalma, please take a moment to read these simple house rules. They are meant for your comfort and safety, as well as to maintain the charm of this place.

CHECK-IN ȘI CHECK-OUT
Check-in: after 2:00 PM (sometimes earlier if we can work a little cleaning magic)
Check-out: by 11:00 AM (this helps us prepare the house for the next guests).
GUESTS & QUIET HOURS
We’re delighted to welcome you, but we can only host the guests included in the reservation.
At AlmaCalma, peace and quiet are treasured. We kindly ask that you do not organize parties without prior consent from the hosts.
SHOES OUTSIDE, SLIPPERS INSIDE
Please leave your outdoor shoes in the veranda. This keeps the floors clean and protected.
We provide wool slippers (with non-slip soles – take care on the stairs!). Feel free to bring your own house slippers if you prefer.
SMOKING ONLY IN THE GARDEN
Smoking is allowed only in the garden and in the barn, where you’ll also find ashtrays and a beautiful view.
ANIMALS (PETS OR OTHERWISE)
We love pets (our dog Lulu can confirm), but unfortunately we cannot accommodate them.
Alma, our friendly cat, lives in an annex of the house.
From time to time, wild or domestic animals may wander around, so please don’t leave food outside.
Since the house is surrounded by nature, harmless insects may enter. Spiders are the most persistent, though we kindly escort them back outside :).
PARKING
You can park for free across the street or by the gate, without blocking traffic and leaving space for others. Lock your car and relax – it’s a peaceful area.
MAYBE THERE’S NO SIGNAL, BUT YOU HAVE WI-FI
The Wi-Fi password is framed in blue in the veranda.
If you’re using Digi (or roaming), you’ll also have mobile signal – but you don’t have to tell anyone. You can always say you’re in a remote, no-signal, no-internet place and enjoy a full digital detox.
CLEANLINESS & ORDER
To keep a calm and relaxed atmosphere, please help us maintain the common areas tidy.
Wash dishes, take out the trash, and put things back in their place – it makes everyone’s stay nicer.
Trash bins are by the barn.
HEATING & HOT WATER
The house is heated only during cold periods. Use of the thermo-fireplace without consent is strictly forbidden!
For everyone’s safety, no open fires are allowed in the house or garden.
Each bathroom has its own large boiler, so hot showers are always available. If you encounter issues, please contact us rather than trying to adjust the boiler yourself.
AVOIDING WASTE
We do our best to be as eco-friendly as possible. Please switch off the lights when you’re not in the room and avoid letting the water run unnecessarily.
The outdoor lights on the house should remain off unless needed – we have solar string lights that turn on automatically at night.
Towels are changed every two days and bed linen every four days, only if necessary. Please let the administrator know whenever you need fresh ones.
SAFETY
Children need close supervision both indoors and outdoors. Watch for stairs, fragile objects, gravel areas, and Alma the cat (she’s gentle but easily startled).
Don’t leave uncovered food in the room or common areas – please store it in the fridge.
For your security, there are a few outdoor cameras.
If something breaks, please notify the administrator as soon as possible.
For your safety, do not enter the annexes or the wood storage area.
GAMES, HAMMOCKS & GARDEN
You’ll find some games in the veranda – we hope you enjoy them! Please make sure all pieces are returned so future guests can also play.
In the black box in the barn you’ll find hammocks: the white one for the lawn, and two green ones for the barn and the hillside. Please take them down in the evening to keep them dry and ready for use.
Close the garden umbrella after use, especially if wind or storms are expected.
You can climb the steps up the hill for a beautiful view of the village and the fortified church, especially at sunrise or sunset. Please don’t venture alone into the forest or on unmarked trails.
